This cute little book was delivered to my mailbox this week. I couldn't wait to break open the box and read it. I have it planned for my little Livie Lou. The book is hardback~ written on high quality glossy paper with beautifully illustrated pictures.

The story is just as cute. Bunny sees Spring full of life when he enters the world. He runs and plays and enjoys life until Autumn starts to change things all around him. Bunny becomes fearful when Apple Tree starts to lose his leaves and wonders if he is sick. Bunny learns that the world is just going to sleep as he will do also and that Spring will come once again.

This is a wonderful story to celebrate Spring with the little ones in your life. It is the perfect gift for any Easter basket~ which is just what I plan to do with this copy.

A fresh, new picture book has arrived just in time to share with your favorite littles. Of course, adults have permission to enjoy it too. A sweet young bunny tells the story in a childlike perspective, sharing his observations of the world around him. The tale takes readers through the year as nature changes each season, appealing to the senses. It also reassures us that change is okay, so we can trust and hope for the future. I appreciate the emotions captured in the text, so honest and real. The lines sometimes rhyme but not consistently, which detracts a bit from the reading. I recommend Bunnys First Spring by Sally Lloyd-Jones to all. I received the book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Bunny's First Spring by Sally Lloyd-Jones is a delightful read-to-me children's book on the renewal of spring. Bunny is born in the spring when the earth is warming and grows and plays in the summer. The earth is growing and green and all is good. Everything around is growing and lush. Then something begins to happen. The days turn cool and the green turns drab and brown. Things start leaving. First the leaves fall off the trees and there are no more frogs in the pond. Bunny grows fearful and thinks that his beautiful earth must be dying. Bunny is getting colder and more afraid so he does what he has always done. He runs into his hole to his mama. He gets sleepy and falls to sleep with his family. And he sleeps and sleeps until once again the world renews into Spring.

This is a great delightful book on the way of the world and how the seasons change and how the animals react to the change. It would be a good book to read to children of a young age. It has many colorful pictures for them to enjoy and not many sentences on each page which with my children anyway that was important to them that the pages are turned fairly quickly during the reading of the story. I would recommend this book for toddler through school age children.

I received this book from Booksneeze for this review.

Bunny's First Spring may be a children's book but it reminded me of some very important truths. Fall is a season of dying and winter can seem like death, but spring brings the hope of renewal.

This tale takes us through the first year of little bunny's life. He is born in the spring when everything is fresh and new. But soon the seasons begin to change and fall is upon them. Everything about nature seems to be dying and slowing down. This of course makes bunny sad. The trees and streams and other animals whisper to him that it is just a season of rest but bunny doesn't hear them.

With the onset of winter bunny and his family go into hibernation. When the family awakes spring is upon them. And once again all things are made new.

This is another beautiful story from Sally Lloyd-Jones that gently teaches the concept of renewal. This would be the perfect addition to an Easter basket or a unit study on spring for your young children. The illustrations by David McPhail are simply beautiful and sure to keep your kiddo interested in the story.

A book was provided to facilitate my review.
