In Building Circles of Grace, moms and daughters will explore what it means to build and sustain Christ-centered relationships that we develop beyond our relationship with God. Some of the toughest experiences we encounter as young girls (and moms, too) are a result of the people we choose as friends.
How do you respond with grace to a bully? How do you cope with the loss of a friendship? Can you really make a difference by putting Jesus first when it is not the cool thing to do? Building Circles of Grace invites moms and daughters to discuss all of these questions and more.

KMcD5 Stars Out Of 5Great Bible study, tools and activities for Moms & Daughters!September 16, 2017KMcDQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love this Bible study for moms and daughters and so wish something like this had been around when I was a young girl to do with my own mother. Being a tween is not easy, especially when it comes to friendships! This study hits on important issues such as bullying, loss of friendships, peer pressure and gossiping. And the beauty of it is it allows moms and daughters to go through these topics side by side, with Biblical application and tools that are important and helpful for both adult and tween girl relationships. While this study says it is written with the 8-13 year old in mind, the themes really do stretch well into the teen years and could be adapted for teen girls and their moms. Very well done follow up to the first Girls of Grace Bible Study.

Three for my grandgirls & their moms and one for my pastor. What an important work. Written with compassion, humor, biblical and real life examples the author helps moms and their tween girls tackle subjects relevant for today like beauty, relationships with friends, bullying, & social media. This is just not a "talk" book, but its a "let's talk this through and take action" book! An inspiration on a very practical level about living in this world and being a light for God. I highly recommend!
JenKrueger5 Stars Out Of 5Great Resource for Talking About Tough Topics with your GirlsSeptember 2, 2017JenKruegerQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Being a girl in today's world seems more challenging than ever...and talking about the tough stuff can be challenging. This book gets to the heart of many typical hurdles of growing up - leading the conversations in a way that's relatable, friendly, and God-seeking. Building Circles provides awesome conversation starters and wonderful mom and me activities.
While it's recommended for a mom with her girls, I think it would make a great group Bible study, too...talking about these hard topics and sharing real experiences in a safe place.
If you are looking for a Bible study that focuses on building and seeking friendships that are uplifting, real, and filled with acceptance for our individuality (and flaws), this is the book for you.

Building Circles of Grace by Catherine Bird, is a delightful Bible Study for Tween girls and their mothers to share. Each chapter is rich with scripture verses to study; personal application questions for both daughter and mother; engaging conversation starters; activities for mom and daughter to do together; and a note from Catherine just for moms.
I really love the way Catherine has written and designed this study. There is space to record answers and to write notes, creating a keepsake to treasure. Also, the chapters are written in a conversational style. Both daughters and moms with draw closer to God and to one another. Through this study, Tween girls and their moms will find that the Bible is so applicable to their lives today. The content is practical and relevant.
While this study is written for Tween girls and their moms, it would be great for Tween girls to share with their grandmother or an aunt. Even older girls will benefit from it.
This is the second study in the Girls of Grace Bible Study Series. The first study is titled Becoming A Girl of Grace.
Building Circles of Grace is fresh and engaging. I am so excited about sharing this study with the Tween girls in my life. There are lessons that I can practically apply to my own life.
I very highly recommend Building Circles of Grace. Catherine Bird has a beautiful study, a treasure to share for generations.
