    I have had this cookbook for several weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

    The book is well set up and full of great recipes with colorful notations of what makes the recipe healthy --i.e. sugar-free, dairy-free, vegan

    Superfoods, Homemade remedies are two sections of the book we enjoyed reviewing--I sat with my mother who is in her 80s and we remembered using some of these remedies in our lifetimes.

    Our favorite recipe was Cabbage Rolls.

    The indexes are well down with one being the Index of Recipes by Section and the other Index of Recipes by Ingredients.

    Highly recommend this lovely holistic cook book

    If you want some great looking and sounding recipes I think you will want to try this cookbook. You will find many gluten free recipes in here. There are some sugar free recipes and many healthy recipes. I love some of the homemade remedies also. I received a copy of this book from Barbour for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

    I just love this new cookbook! Such original recipes that not only look good but are better for my health.

    I'm already hooked on Roasted Chickpeas! My husband was hesitant since he had not heard of it and then he ate some and finished the bowl in a few hours!

    I can't wait to try the Turtle Cake since I love everything Turtle! (ice cream, cookies, etc.)

    Tons of recipes and information are included such as Superfoods, Homemade remedies, Beverages, Breakfast to name a few.

    This will be my go-to cookbook first in my collection.

    If you are looking for a cookbook that has healthy recipes, then this book is for you. Each recipe has listed at the top if it is egg-free, gluten-free, low- carb, or sugar- free. A quick glance will let you know if this is a recipe for you. Lots of attractive pictures and a binding that allows the book to lay flat. A good gift for yourself or a friend.

    Are you gluten intolerant? Do you need dairy free foods, or those with less sugar? If you're looking for new recipes that fit these restrictions, then this is the cookbook for you! Amish Friends Healthy Options Cookbook has over 230 recipes, divided into 7 categories, and there are also useful tips, homemade remedies, and a section devoted to Superfoods. I especially like that it is easy-to-use, with a Table of Contents, two Indexes that allow you to find a specific recipe, and plastic comb spine binding that allows it to lay flat. There are also colorful photos that show the finished products and inspirational Bible Scripture scattered throughout the book. This is definitely a book meant to feed both body and soul!

    Amish cooks are considered to be among the very best, and these recipes are certainly worth trying. Wanda E. Brunstetter has once again gathered recipes used in Amish kitchens, and she's combined them into this new cookbook that is geared especially for those of us who are interested in healthier foods. I'm looking forward to good food and better health!
