Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am retired after 30 years in Public Relations and Sales. I have always enjoyed watching Crime shows on TV and reading Crime Fiction books. After I retired, I decided to try writing a couple Crime Fiction books. Both of my books have been Finalist for several awards. And The Chambers Files was named the 2024 International Impact Book Award winner in the Crime Fiction category.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I wrote my first book, The Chambers Files, just for fun, and didn't decide to get it published until after I had finished writing it. My second book, The Brazos Valley Files, was the result of so many people asking me when I was going to write another book. I purposely tried to bring attention to what I consider some important social issues

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope people will enjoy the settings I mentioned in both books. While the stories are fictional, the settings are real places I have lived. I have tried to give the reader a true feel of each setting. I also hope the social issues mentioned in The Brazos Valley Files will make people think about these issues.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I have enjoyed writing both books!

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  All the settings in both books are real places that are meaningful to me.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I hope to write more books, but how well these two books sell will make a difference in if I publish another book. I don't plan to get wealthy on these books, but I would like to at least "break even"!
