My 9 yr old just started this book, as part of homeschooling, and I think it's great. He's only finished 2 chapters, but so far each chapter has great critical thinking/in depth questions instead of easy fill in the blank. Making good choices is a lifelong skill that parents need to start teaching their kids young to help them succeed in following God's path for them. I like how there is real life examples, and it challenges the kids to think of how they would react in the same situation, and then write several sentences of something similar that has happened to them. So it makes the bible real. It helps them to apply the bible in a realistic way. I wish it was a little longer/bigger, but for a paperback, for a kid ages 8-12 this is great.

So glad I bought this book for my 9 year old. He sometimes doesn't make the best choices or doesn't react the way he should in situations. We are doing this together one chapter at a time and he seems to be getting a lot out of it. Hopefully when we are done we see some positive changes.

I help lead a small group of 7th grade boys, and we have used the book each week for a short lesson. We let the boys take turns leading the group in discussion of a lesson, and it has been a powerful thing to see. It helps get the boys involved, and invested in the lessons. I highly recommend the book. God bless.
