i use this book exstensively teaching people who are or have been incarcerated in prison on when to say yes and how to say no. And how to take control of thei lives. I have passed out hundreds of copies to them and others as part of our prison ministry.

This book was HARD and CHALLENGING!

and yet it is so helpful. It helps me, not only in my own personal life BUT it helps me as I mentor women,. It helps me raise my children, and it helps me grow closer to God.

But I have two concerns: 1). I dont appreciate books that change translations of the Bible to fit their purposes. I get what they are trying to do BUT it confuses people. We need to be careful not to try to fit Bible passages into what we want to say BUT we need to take Gods word and write from that. We call that playing hermeneutical gymnastics with the text. when we change and bend and mold the Bible to fit what we are trying to say.

2). Is not really complaint but a desire. I desire that in some these books that they might include some chapters that are helpful for this in full time ministry. Its not a downfall to the book just a personal wish I guess.

other than that I must say I really enjoyed the book and give it 4.5 stars out of 5

An amazing book, this information is revolutionizing my life and relationships, I am not mad at everyone anymore because I am not blaming them, expecially my husband, I am taking responsibility for my decisions and actions, and seeing amazing results, I am so free and at peace, regardless of other people and their decisions, I am no longer trying to fix everyone. Wish I had read it years ago I would have saved myself and my family a lot of grief. I HIGHLY recommend this book it is valuable in any relationship.

i can't say enough wonderful things about this book. i wish i had read it 20 years ago. Biblical boundaries are what we all need. Drs. Cloud and Townsend explain things in such a down to earth, sensitive manner. Love it!

Love this book. So much information! Really helpful in sorting out guilty feelings and being emotionally healthy. I recommended it to a friend.
