I really appreciated this book. Excellent thoughts and insight. I was actually struggling in a relationship with a friend, not in my marriage. My aunt bought it for me, so I read it, and it REALLY did help!! Have given this and the BOUNDARIES book out now to people that I hear are struggling in relationships. Would highly recommend for one facing ANY relational struggles.

My friend with a degree in mental health recommended I read the original Boundaries book when I was going through my divorce. While the marriage was too far gone at that point, this book really opened my eyes and taught me A LOT about what healthy relationships look like, which helped my next marriage be much more enjoyable and successful. It's like the "what not to do" sections were written about me and my ex...I spent years thinking that I was being loving by doing whatever my first husband wanted, I thought that was proper submission. What i didnt know was that i was enabling him, until it got to the point of infidelity. Boundaries are not about control- they are about showing love by protecting your relationship and yourself. Now I am giving this book as a gift to my cousin who is engaged, hoping she will avoid the mistakes I made. This book is a MUST READ if you want healthy, godly, fulfilling relationships.

This is an excellent book. Be prepared... this is not about how to change your mate, but it does teach you what you do have control over and how to do it in a godly way. There is so much in this book if you have problems setting boundaries.

This book really made me think about things in a differant way. I'm so happy I listened to my friend and purchased this book.

This is better and cheaper than counseling. It is helping me change myself.
