Good Boundaries and Goodbyes is an exceptionally encouraging book for all readers. Whether you are navigating a difficult relationship with a family member, spouse, friend, or colleague, this book will give you tangible tools on how to best develop healthy and relational boundaries. Integrating scripture within this book, as well as counsel from Lysa's own counselor, Jim Cress, the book teaches the reader biblically how God designed healthy boundaries and the book uses many biblical examples, as well as current present-day examples from personal experiences. I personally have gained much insight into the perspective of God's design in relationships and glorifying Him in the process of these relationships. I highly recommend this book to readers of all adult ages, as one can always learn better what God's word states on His great plans for us to prosper and give us hope in our futures. He wants what is best for us. So let's take a deep dive into what He so clearly teaches us and become healthy and whole in the process!

This book helped me see how lack of boundaries has made me less like Christ. So many of us are incapacitated by the stress of over functioning and/or abuse. Learning to set boundaries is not about being selfish, it is about conserving your energy so you can do the important things. Even Jesus set boundaries. If you want to be Christlike, it will involve some boundaries with people in your life. This book is not in any way encouraging divorce. Boundaries might actually save your marriage and help both of you become more like Christ.

I am blessed to be reading this as part of the launch team. Wow, I'm almost done with Chap. 11 and it is such an amazing book. So much practical experiences and examples of application, combined with theological application of scripture to the experiences, followed up with therapy and notes near the end of each chapter from Jim Cress a therapist on what was discussed in each chapter. And a "Now Let's Live This... section to warp up each chapter reviewing pints to remember from the chapter, points to receive from the chapter, questions to reflect on from the chapter, and a prayer to close each chapter.

I plan to finish the book today, Nov. 7, 2022, but wanted to get this review posted so other can purchase this amazing book, which launches Nov. 8, 2022

I highly recommend this book.

Lysa terkeurst new book good boundaries and goodbyes: loving others without losing the best of who you are is very thorough and in-depth about boundaries and that they are from God.

She is very authentic, vulnerable, and honest in sharing her personal story about things with her own relationships in her life and setting good but tough boundaries in her relationships that were necessary.

I highly recommend you buy this book to help you with setting your own boundaries in your relationships and friendships in your life it will help you greatly.
