This book is not your ordinary book; it breaks all walls of religion, and it deals with realness and real people though this is not my life story or the story of my family, but this is the story of so many women and men in this world. I would ask you not to get caught up in who the people are but look at the challenges they faced and how God helped them out of their situation after they found them self. What they did, as I hope you do, is realize they need God and that they could not change without him. If you allow it to speak, it will minister to the broken places in your heart, mind, body and soul. Those places that we cover up with our smiles, and fancy clothes; those deep places that only you and God know are there.
MINISTER CHRISTY L. LASSITER was born to Gloria Rhodes Lassiter and Alonzo King on January 18, 1980 in Goldsboro, NC. She later was blessed with extended parents when both her mother and father married SGT. Thomas Howell and Gwendolyn Brown. Her older brother Ulyesse Lassiter has been one of her greatest supporters. Her pride and joy is her son Jeremiah who was born November 11, 2001. She has had a lot of life experiences and many trials some she brought on herself and some just a test of her faith. In all that she has been through the good and the bad she wouldn't change a thing it has made her a stronger woman. She says that she is enrolled in the school of life and she has a lot to learn.
