This book was purchased for Sunday School/Bible Study. It is a wonderful book because it really helps you to understand the Psalms. It is well written and a companion to the Word of God, so that your knowledge is clear. My church first used the Smart Guide: The Bible and we as a body of believers learned a lot that we did not know before. I suggest purchasing this book for your own personal growth in the LORD and for Bible Study.

I'm slowly working my way through this Smart Guide to the Psalms, for I always wondered why each particular Psalm was written and how I can apply it to my life today. It's really an eye opener. I'm enjoying it.

I'm planning on leading our bible study group through a study of the Psalms. I've read through the first six chapters of Psalms with this book and really like the insights this book provides and the historical information it provides. All the other studies I looked at would cover only some chapters; this covers them all.

Because it's a soft back I rated the quality as average; but because it's a soft back, I probably won't be so hesitant to write all over it.

This book has surpassed all my expectations. It is readable and explains events, people and situations at a level anyone can understand. It is helpful for studying or teaching from the Bible. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking at investing or just in need of one book for Bible study or teaching.
