I had ordered three books from you on the study of John for our Wed. night Bible class. After reviewing and studying each I chose this book for our study. It has been easy and in simple format for our class. It makes it easier for me to study and be prepared especially with the notes on the side of each page. I don't have to spend so much time using different commentaries since different opinions are given often in each chapter by other authors. I find that great.

In general, this book series is amazing! I started with John, and just purchased Hebrews, which I am looking forward to immensely. I am most impressed by the fact that a new believer would benefit the same as a mature christian who has read the Bible for years! I fall in between those two categories, and have learned so much in a short amount of time.

The strong point of this series is how simple the format is. first, the scripture is printed in the text, verse by verse. Second, there are basic maps, occasional drawings of cultural items like clothing, or a diagram of a temple, etc. that really expand the historical account into something that reads more like a story. Thirdly, the different quotes from other thinkers, pastors, and teachers, enlighten biblical concepts with a diversity of style.

I would like to add that there is a bit of humor in the series, just play on words here or there. Two of my favorites are *God and Son Catering*and *Battle of the Baptizers*.

I would highly recommend the series in general to any believer for personal growth. I have bought 2 of the John smart guides as baptism gifts, and could easily see them as a bible study book for a group, or as a means to witness to a non-believer. Really great resource that I am glad to recommend.

My Bible Study is studying Gospel According to John and this book makes an excellent reference as it breaks down the chapters into bit size verses with good intrepretations. Has study questions at end of each chapter.

I find this to be a pretty good book for the study of the Apostle John. There is evidenceof a lot of extra information included in thelesson. I do however, use another author's book for a different style of questioning for understanding. They make a great pair!
