Leslie Rowe5 Stars Out Of 5real, raw, honest - and full of hopeAugust 22, 2017Leslie RoweQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0"From Hot Mess to Blessed" doesn't mess around with religious niceties. It's real, right where I live, and the author's vulnerability helps me realize that we all have hot messes in our past. But she didn't leave me there; she handles God's truth with wisdom and clarity, and propels me to hope. God's promises for a hot mess like me are presented well--"I will make you whole," "I will give you a new identity," "You are brave," "You are significant" - these and more promises are gently massaged into my soul and spirit as I read this book. Thanks, Julie.

In her book, Julie shares many inspirational stories from her live and her walk with Christ. In a compelling style, she inspires the reader to trust in God and how to take difficult circumstances with contentment and the desire to grow and learn from them. At the end of each chapter there is a personal proclamation meant to strengthen and encourage the reader.
I would recommend the book to everyone who's looking for inspiration and encouragment. If you're wondering how you can feel less of a mess and more like a peaceful and content woman, this book is for you!
Rev Rae5 Stars Out Of 5From Hot Mess to Blessed: Hope to Propel Your Soul and the Promises That Change EverythingAugust 1, 2017Rev RaeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Julie uncovers the various ways we are "a hot mess" -- struggling to know who we are, recognizing how our past affects our present, having our melt downs -- and unfolds the transforming hope God offers to each of us. She is so articulate and personable; I felt we were in conversation about our lives. My copy is covered in underlines and "Amen" written in the margins, and I sense most other readers would find their copies equally marked in response to the insights and promises. Personal Proclamations at the end of each chapter help to move her words from the page into the heart. A powerful book that should be on every believer's list.
RobertaPosh5 Stars Out Of 5Changing my name from Hot Mess to BLESSED!!July 29, 2017RobertaPoshQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5From Hot Mess to Blessed is the exact book I needed in my life right now! I constantly find myself feeling overwhelmed and like my world is raging with chaos and this book helped remind me of God's promises he has for me. Each chapter is separated into a promise that he has declared for us and then dives in deeper and gives supporting bible verses. More than that Julie shares her personal experiences and how God spoke to her. Then she continues on to tell you exactly how to get from being a hot mess to being blessed! She can't do the hard work for you though and she doesn't sugar coat how hard and long of a road it has been for her. I love that Julie is real, open, and honest throughout the entire book! At the end of each chapter she ends it with"Say it. Know it. Believe it". Affirmations are so important so I love that she has added these in there. I have been underlining SO many different things that have spoke to my heart. This book will be being read again very soon!
