While there is no series title to the four books that are written by this author duo, the books are sequential in time. There are several characters that carry over from book to book. The missions are vastly different in each book, but a lot of the characters remain the same. They should be read in order beginning with Certain Jeopardy, Blaze of Glory, Fallen Angel and then Hide and Seek.
In Blaze of Glory, a new member is added to the team, Jerry Zinsser. Jerry is a decorated hero from his last mission where only two of his team survived their mission in Somalia. He was responsible for saving the other team member. He has fooled the army psychologists into thinking he is ready to return to duty. However, he is suffering from PTSD and having suicidal thoughts. He returns to his former mission in his head at any time and cant tell what is real and what is in the past. This poses a problem when it happens on his current mission and his team leader, Eric Moyer, must decide whether to return him to base or continue their mission.
Their mission is to find out who is behind the recent increase in female suicide bombers. There have been bombings in several major European cities, all committed by young female bombers. They discover that someone may be trying to kill the President of the United States while on mission. Soon they come face-to-face with an armed bomber within striking distance of the President of the United States as well as several other world leaders. There are other bombers converging on the same location. How can Moyer and his team stop them all?
If you like military action, suspense and tension-filled moments, then this book is definitely for you! I couldnt put it down. The short chapters make the story pass quickly and the exciting plot will keep you glued to the book. The characters of this Special Operations Team are loyal to one another to the point of being willing to die for each other. The sense of humor and camaraderie between the men is really fun to read. While their missions are secret so only a few know about them, the soldiers know that they are doing their duty for their country. Thanks for your dedicated service to all the men and women who have served or are serving in the armed forces of the United States. Hooah!
Major Jeff Struecker and Alton Gansky in their new book, Blaze Of Glory Book Two in the Special Ops series published by B&H Publishing Group gives us another mission with Sergeant Eric Moyer and his Special Ops team.
From the back cover: Six men. Two assassination plots. Once chance to save the world.
A sudden and suspicious rise in female suicide bombers sends Sergeant Eric Moyer and his team on a desperate mission to put an end to the bombings, a task that will require them to save over a dozen head-of stateif they can. When they learn the identity of the real leader behind the attacks-someone much closer to home-the team must again travel across the ocean to stop a man whose wealth and ambition is matched only by his madness. The impossible mission is made more difficult by the newest member of the unit: a deeply troubled hero who may get himself-and his new team-killed.
Military procedural thriller doesnt really do this book justice. While it most certainly is let me assure you it is much much more. Let me put it this way, get ready for a nail-biting, page-turning thriller. Sergeant Moyer and the team are in deadly danger as they are racing around the globe trying to put an end to an enemy who is using women for suicide bombings. Major Jeff Struecker and Alton Gansky not only know how Special Ops forces work they know how to craft suspense. So much is going on within the pages of Blaze Of Glory and the characters are so real that you care for all of them and want them to succeed, well at least the good guys. There is more to the story that I didnt mention but you didnt really expect me to tell you everything did you? Otherwise you might not want to read the book and I wouldnt want you to pass up an opportunity for a terrific read. Major Jeff Struecker and Alton Gansky have written a current spy story with an old-time flair. There are great themes in this book: family, duty, country and how God figures in everything. Blaze Of Glory is a book that you will want to start early otherwise you will be up very late as you will want to finish it. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to more from this talented duo.

Wow was all I could say after reading "Blaze of Glory"! The writing team of Jeff Struecker and Alton Gansky is an outstanding one. I certainly hope they continue writing more books about Sgt. Major Eric Moyer and his Special Operations Team. "Blaze of Glory" and book one in the series, "Certain Jeopardy", are definitely both Five Star Reads!!!
