Blast Off

    Tell us a little about yourself.  "Blast Off" is my third book. Jesus saved me September 22, 1974. He called me to preach in December of that year. He refined my call to a missions aspect the following spring.

It has been my joy and challenge to strive to follow His lead these past four decades.

    What was your motivation behind this project?  As the world continues to be exponentially inundated with trials large and small, God has provided His promise of escape, the Rapture, profoundly substantiated throughout His Holy Word, as utilized in "Blast Off." In conjunction with this prophecy, Jesus and the Apostles encouraged all believers to be ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within us, even as Peter admonished in his epistle, I Peter 3:15. Paul's charge to the Thessalonians that, "...this epistle be read to all the brethren," in I Thess. 5:27, greatly encouraged me to embark on this project. However, perhaps the driving motivation to persist in following the work to completion was Paul's earlier injunction "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus." I Thess. 4:14. This verse impacted the foundation of the teaching of our Blessed Hope into the depths of my soul, as it continues to do in my daily walk and meditation. It is a distinct honor for me to respond to this promise of God by alerting as many as possible that we are now '...seeing the day approaching...' as revealed in Hebrews 10:25.

    What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Jesus comforted Peter to not allow his heart to be troubled. Paul encouraged believers to share this beautiful promise in order that they also might be strengthened to "...comfort one another with these words." I Thess. 4:18

    How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  This extraordinary prophecy has a tremendously soothing effect as you meditate upon it. My effort in focusing on the many passages and verses associated with Jesus' 'elopement' with His Bride, have only enhanced my personal anticipation for this blessed event, while simultaneously bestowing peace in the midst of life's storms.

    Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Ex-tug boat captains, prophecy evangelists, and Bible scholars have been among those most influential and insprational sources in study and writing on this field of Bible prophecy. In fear of missing someone it seems the better part of valor to be general rather than name specific persons.

    Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  In closing, it is desired that as many as possible that receive this promise of the Lord will be comforted to feel at ease sharing our Blessed Hope with all, that whosoever might be saved.
