BJU Press Writing & Grammar 10 Kit (4th Edition)

This updated fourth edition of BJU Press' Writing and Grammar, Grade 10 curriculum covers both grammar exercises and writing activities. The student text features full-color pages with historical examples and context from all eras. Charts, sample sentences, enrichment focusing on thinking skills and Bible letters, and ESL notes all provide additional insights and interest to the chapter's primary focus. Parts of speech, sentences, phrases, clauses, agreement, verb use, pronoun reference, capitalization, punctuation, writing, library skills, study skills, and more are covered.

The teacher's guide features reduced-size student pages that have the correct answers overlaid in 1/4 of the two-page spread. A page and a half are devoted to lesson notes, including objectives, specific teacher materials needed, teacher preparation for the lesson, notes, how to introduce the lesson, and the lesson itself. Semi-scripted lessons correct answers in pink; directions for what to explain, display, distribute, or other teacher actions are printed in black.

The included Teacher's Toolkit CD provides pretests and answer keys, teaching helps, ESL helps, concept reinforcements, writing rubrics, diagram answers, answer keys, and more.

The Test booklet features questions that include rewriting sentences and identifying nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. One test per chapter is included.
