Publisher's Description

Most people know Billy Graham the preacher.

Many know Billy Graham the author.
In this remarkable book, Graham reveals a personal side that few have seen before.

For thirty years, Billy Graham and David Frost fascinated television audiences with their conversations about God, the Bible, and Graham’s decades-long ministry. Frost asked the questions that thousands of viewers wanted to ask. Graham answered them with authenticity and grace.

Along the way, Graham provided insight into life as an evangelist, a Christian father and grandfather, and a public figure in a changing culture. Most of all, Graham’s words show what it means to live out your beliefs—whether you speak to millions of people around the world or simply want to live faithfully at home and work.

With a chronology of Graham’s life, a preface from Frost, and a foreword from his grandson, Tullian Tchividjian, this weaving of stories, interviews, and reflections will inspire you to respond to God’s call with no reserve.

Excellent material from a great interviewer and one of the great men of all history, Dr. Graham. Both believers and non-believers will enjoy this book and it's honesty.

Very engaging book about the ministry and faith of Billy Graham. I was moved by his support of Richard Nixon and I feel that Nixion did sincerely apologize for his crimes.

There are a few individuals in America that have had this much impact on so many people around the world over such a long period of time. Graham was a friend to ministry leaders, political leaders and world leaders. In fact, Graham has appeared on Gallup's list of Most Admired People 57 times -- more than any other person in the world.

This book outlines several interviews that took place between David Frost and Billy Graham over 30 years. It provides a good snapshot of who Billy Graham is, some of the things he accomplished, and his beliefs across a wide range of issues. It also tells the story of how he evolved and matured in his faith and his style over the years. The interviews cover a range of topics including his relationship with many presidents (including Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush), his thoughts about civil rights, women's rights, family, parenting, marriage, moral issues and more. Billy led a very busy and accomplished life. In 1954, he led a London Crusade and preached every night for three months and later did a New York Crusade in Madison Square Garden without a break and preached for 16 weeks straight. It takes enormous energy to do that and I can't imagine anyone able to keep that schedule today. Graham became a trusted advisor and friend to many.

Even though there are a lot of different topics covered, I am still longing to hear one more interview that can uncover some of the deeply personal stories of Graham's experiences, conversations and frustrations. While he was a very public man, he was also very private and surely has many more interesting stories to tell.

A complimentary e-copy of this book was provided to me by David C Cook in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

Just finished reading Billy Graham: Candid Conversations With a Public Man by David Frost.

I learned some interesting things about Reverend Billy Graham that I didn't know.

Some of the questions that are answered in the book...

Learn how and when he accepted Christ as his personal savior.

How long did it take him to ask Ruth out for the first date?

And how long before he fell in love with her?

What do the Graham Family have on Christmas morning as part of their tradition?

If the Lord hadn't chosen for him to be an evangelist what line of work would Reverend Graham have went into?

Why does God allow pain and suffering?

What temptations if any does the devil use on Billy Graham?

    How would you describe Heaven?

    And Hell?

Do you think there will turn out to be life on other planets?

Plus many more questions and answers.

I was amazed at some of Reverend Billy Graham's answers. A very thought provoking book. I enjoyed it tremendously.

I received an ARC of this from NetGallery in exchange for my review rather it be good or bad.
