I grew up hearing the stories of the Bible. As a child I learned each story by heart. I knew the story of Adam and Eve, David and Goliath, Crucifixion of Christ and even about the second coming of Christ. While I know they are telling the story of my faith, I often think of them as separate stories and often lose how they all fit together to show us the path to our redemptiona concept that is difficult to grasp for an adult, let alone a child.

The Biggest Story by Keven Deyoung is the story of Bible told as a narrative. It brings the story of the bible full circlestarting in paradise and ending in a paradise. He starts in Genesis with the story of Adam and Eve and ends with the story of Revelation.

The Biggest Story is difficult to read silently. You find yourself just wanting to read it aloud. At first I thought it had a very dark feel. It focused on all the bad thingsuntil I reached page where Mr. Deyoung reminds us of the promise that God made. That there would be a child born who would put things right. It is here that he shows us that there is still Hope for the world. I wasnt sure that my daughter would like how the story reads, but each night she asks me to read more. She really enjoys this style of narrative.

The illustrations in the story are big and bold. They work beautifully with each story. Some of the images are easy to understand, while other take a little bit of work, but they all are beautiful and you will spend time just looking at them.

While The Biggest Story is a book written for children, there is a very strong message in it for us all. Children will grasp the basic overall concept of the Bible Story, but adults will be able to look and find a deeper meaning. Gods promises are bigger and better than we realize, sometimes we just need a reminder of what he has already done for us and what he has planned for our future!

An incredibly stunning and thoroughly delightful read about how the Snake Crusher (Jesus) is the best and biggest story to ever be told. This brightly colorful book is filled with the most gorgeous pictures that are delightful to both reader and listener.

This entire book captures the truth behind the fact that humans are a sinful people yet are absolutely loved and offered the best gift - Christ Jesus. The Bible is full of stories that are often glossed over to get the ultimate point across that humans sinned, got kicked out of the garden, God made promises, kept those promises, offered His only son to die, humans can now get to heaven. Same story but filled with incredibly imagery.

From the front cover to the back cover this book is stuffed full of a wonderful re-telling of the greatest story.

All in all, this is now one of my new favorite books that I have on my shelf to share with my children. I loved the way the author spun the story, a story that I have known my entire life. The ups and downs of the words, the cascading flow made this a magnificent read aloud book.

I deem this a do not miss book, one that you should own, and even give away as a gift....we loved it!

Our kids ministry did a movie night where we showed this movie with a quiz and prizes for correct answers afterward. Then we did 2 door prizes with this book and the families were thrilled - so engaging and relevant to our young families who want the Word in their kids.
