Daniel Akin, president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, maintains a busy schedule as a speaker, teacher, author and administrator. Prior to becoming president at Southeastern, Dr. Akin served in various professorships in theology and preaching, as well as administrative positions, at Southeastern Seminary, Southern Seminary and Criswell College. He holds a BA from Criswell College, a D.Min. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Humanities and Philosophy from The University of Texas at Arlington. Danny and his wife Charlotte have four sons and eight grandchildren.
