I have facilitated groups going through this book several times, and I find it to be a great way to start discussions about important topics all the way through the Bible. It also helps fill in scriptural "gaps" people may have by systematically covering foundational topics. By the end of the study those who go through it have a much stronger grasp of why Christians believe what they do, and the basis is simply scripture, which works well for all Bible-based Christian denominations.

I like the fact that the vast majority of the book consists of questions that are directly answered in scripture, with only a brief overview for each section. That keeps the attention where it should be - on scripture and its Author.

I actually use a resource folder I created with all the scriptures to make this book easier to use for those who are not familiar with the Bible, and that helps established Christians, too, to see related scriptures in one place for comparison. Without that all the looking up can take a lot of time and be overwhelming for new Christians (but looking SOME scriptures up is always a good thing, especially if you are just learning to do it for the first time).

The only issue I have with the book is that the section on communion does not mention Passover, but that is easily remedied.

Overall, this is a fantastic study for both new Christians and established Christians alike. It has over 50 lessons organized into 12 chapters. Ideally, I would go through a lesson (or at most 2) a week with a group that meets once a week, but that's because I am very thorough and enjoy going really deep. However, it is still a good resource to go through in 24 weeks, which is the time frame available for the study I am doing now.

We are doing this for our Bible Study group. I have only done the first chapter and it is awesome! I love that there are lots of Bible verses to read, that support the chapters. And it makes you think. Its just awesome. We have learned so much already. We would recommend this study for any group, or even a single person.

Excellent discipleship tool. We are all called to make disciples. This is the tool for the job. You will grow though this study. Study it with a small group first, then each of you take another small group through, then another, and then another, until the whole world hears.
