A book about Big Government economics, not finances.
October 28, 2016
Not exactly what I was expecting, which was a book about Christian finances. This book was, indeed, focused on economics, but mostly from a point of view of what is wrong with Big Government in America. Of course, what is wrong with how the American government attempts to solve economic issues can be easily transposed to the actions of federal governments in other nations.
The section on how the Year of Jubilee actually was intended to work was well-written and was more along the lines of what I had hoped to gain in understanding from reading this book. However, such illustrations and explanations of God's plan for a nation's economy was, in my opinion, not always well developed or well referenced to Scripture in the book.
An interesting read, but it will not tell you what Scripture says about personal or business finances, banking, etc.
