I am 2/3 of the way through this Bible study, and it has been great on so many levels. It has prompted me to be honest with myself about things that I chose not to think about, and how I can apply the situations to my Christian life and relationship with the Lord.

I plan to buy this for a few of my friends for Christmas.

I wanted a guide to reading the Bible that might offer insights on the readings. I find this to be a touchy, feely guide that really just focuses on the user and not on Jesus. The pros: Yes, it does break down the readings into manageable daily chunks. Cons: Doesn't give historical or context-based insights, but gives rather phony user prompts to "reflect". "Did you ever give up on a goal?" "What goal would you like to work toward" UGH.
