Jim5 Stars Out Of 5Awesome CommentaryFebruary 5, 2016JimQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5After consulting many pastors including our own, and reviewing the many suggested books by stopping by the Trinity library, THIS struck me as a tool we need in our walk! My wife and I have been reading the Bible a chapter a night for just over a year now and this latest addition to our nightly reading has really allowed the Word to come alive! To really understand what one is reading in the Bible, you need to understand the context to which it was written. Further, one needs to understand and look through eyes of the "time" and not through our current times of wants and "needs" in the western world. We also use two other commentaries so our evening Bible study has turned in to a good hour every night. What a way to end a day after the job shifts have ended, the kids have gone to bed, the dishes and laundry are done and you can spend an evening in prayer, reading and steeping in the Word with your best friend!
