Product Description

The Bible is the most translated, published, and studied book in history, with translations in approximately 1,500 languages. As such, it has had a profound influence on cultures across the globe, withstanding the test of time and persisting in significance still today. The Bible: A History tells the story of how the Bible came to be and answers Bible readers' most common questions, including: Who composed the different books that make up the Bible? How were the books written down? When were they first collected together as the Old and New Testaments? Who first translated the Bible?

Writing in a lively and lucid style, Stephen Miller and Robert Huber bring the story of the Bible and the key people involved in it to life, proving itself to be an accessible and engaging guide for anyone wanting to learn more about one of the most extraordinary books ever made.
