I especially love the references in the back of the bible. The leather is nice and the engraving came out beautiful. This version is just as clear and understanding as The Message Bible. I highly recommend.

It is an interesting translation and I really appreciate that it can be quoted in print freely.
The translation itself is somewhat controversial, but I find it to be and excellent study aid. I consider the translation to be incomplete without the notes, since the notes explain some of the more unusually translated verses. While it has been made easy to read, the integrity of the text has been maintained. While the NASB and NKJV are still my most respected versions, I feel the NET has it's place for comparative study and just plain reading. It's easy to read! I feel that it falls in between the NASB and NIV for a combination of exacting linguistics and readability.
This binding itself is lovely. And this compact size is super handy to carry around. My only complaint is that the leather is pretty stiff, but it is breaking in. Just have to do so gently. The leather is smooth and beautifully colored. The binding is tight and crisp. The pages are thin, but not uncommonly so for a Bible of this size.
Overall, a beautiful little Bible in a handy size and an interesting newer translation.
