I like this study for my daughter. It has been the easiest way to study Gods word where she seems to be retaining most of it.

I like this book. The lessons are short enough to hold my 4 year old's attention during homeschooling. My biggest complaint is that there are too many questions after each lessons and sometimes they are far too hard for him.

I am a homeschooling mother with an MDiv background. I used this text with my 6 yo and previously used the OT Beginnings text last year for kindergarten Bible lessons. I was not pleased with this text because it does not provide specific scripture readings to go with the stories. It spends too much time on the birth of Christ and not enough on the life and teachings of Christ and the apostles. Some of the "stories" teach things which are contradictory to the passages they are supposedly teaching from. It needed significant adaptation to make it palatable. Positive points are that it approaches scripture from the evangelical tradition and tries to give an overview study of the NT with an emphasis on the life of Christ. Frequently it gives admonition for the child to place their trust in Christ for salvation without using technical jargon.
