Maureen Messier-Kellis5 Stars Out Of 5May 20, 2002Maureen Messier-KellisI love this workbook! It is a great tool for homeschoolers or parents who want to supplement pubic school curriculum. Using this workbook (there's a New Testament version, too), along with Karen Henley's My First Hymnal (as suggested) gives your child a multisensory experience while turning your kids into little Bible experts. There's not alot of cutesy stuff here. One of the best things about this series is that you can use the appropriate workbook (preK-high school) for each child and have them all more or less on the same page. This makes for excellent family devotions or review, as each child can ask appropriate questions, meaningfully participate in an intergererational exchange, and integrate this into their learning experience. The lessons not only teach the Bible to kids, but also help them incorporate the lessons into the way they live out their life. Explorers also has adult Bible study workbooks.

Erinn Klatt5 Stars Out Of 5January 25, 2009Erinn KlattThis is a great book! I read it to my 5 and 2 year old boys and its a great way to talk about God and the bible to children. Its interactive - my 5 year old is enraptured and answers questions, recites the bible versus, sings the songs and wants to continue with another lesson as soon as we finish. I save the lesson for the next day, but the excitement is wonderful! My two year old can also understand the simple wording and ideas and answer questions also. They both love the hymns that are included and we are ordering the cd as they want to hear and sing them over and over.

LisaM53052 Stars Out Of 5February 3, 2009LisaM5305I give this book two stars for the effort obviously put into writing and publishing it. It's spiral-bound and easy to use. It did not work for us because it felt too much like I was indoctrinating a little robot, rather than using God's Word to reach the heart of my little one. You read a segment, then ask the child (way too many) questions. This is not how I want to teach my kindergartener about the Bible. Thankfully while browsing this site I found a program called "Bible Study Guide for All Ages"...what a Godsend!
