Steven & Carol5 Stars Out Of 5Reassurance through GriefOctober 5, 2017Steven & CarolQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Our world was forever changed on February 4..our 22 year old daughter took her first breath in heaven. Through the grieving process, we found ourselves dealing with the loss of intimacy with our daughter, a shaken faith because we were not responding the way Christians thought we should, and burying the pain of rash, thoughtless comments to avoid hurting the feelings of well-meaning people trying to "help." This book (and we have read many) is by far the best resource on the grieving process of losing a child - it reassured us that what we were feeling and experiencing was okay..we found ourselves circling, underlining, and writing notes in the margins - page after page was our story. We highly recommend this book for EVERY Christian. It offers greater insight on how you can comfort those who have experienced a deep, unimaginable loss. Thank you, Dave for sharing your journey.
As an aside, I have unfortunately had the opportunity to give this book to other parents..it might be nice to have a "gift" edition-however, I do enjoy having an edition that I feel comfortable marking my thoughts and notes in the margins so that I can easily retrieve passages that I need to reference again.
