BEYOND THESE WALLS is a moving drama that reveals how several people find themselves lost in drugs, crime, sex and anti-social behavior. While in State Prison they find the transforming power of Christ through two chaplains, one a Catholic Priest and one a Protestant Minister. Their lives are woven together as only God can do to create a beautiful symphony of life and ministry that builds to a hallelujah crescendo and will leave you weeping and praising the Lord. It demonstrates the essence of Ephesians 2:10, "We are God's work of art, created in Christ Jesus." In BEYOND THESE WALLS, you will gain a renewed faith in the kind of historical Christianity manifested in mystical experiences, angels, powerful healings and miracles. You will understand that no matter how stuck you may be in your past with its sin and pain, God works through your experiences; through your sin and pain, and brings others into your path to accomplish His plan of healing Grace (Romans 8:28). Dr. Don, as he is affectionately known, has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Illinois and a Doctorate from Illinois State University. Since 1960 his life has been spent counseling and ministering to hurting people. From 1973 through 2000 he taught graduate courses in counseling and human behavior at Sul Ross State University, Rio Grande College in Texas. He has been a consultant for two district court probation programs and worked with prison populations. He is a licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and currently retired. Upon his retirement from a distinguished career in 1998, the University conferred upon him the title of Distinguished Professor Emeritus. At this moment his life is wrapped up in his wife, family, writing and the church.
