CraigKentuckyAge: 45-54Gender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5Beyond the MaskDecember 26, 2017CraigKentuckyAge: 45-54Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Great adventure, action, drama, more than I have seen in Christian films. The period material is not just educational but also tongue-in-cheek humorous with Ben Franklin, leyden jars, the East India Company, etc., while also playing off of superhero/evil enemy/sci fi expectations in ways that make you laugh. (I read one complaint about certain predictable elements, but the complaint stemmed from inability to see how the script tongue-in-cheek exploits elements of the genre in an exceptionally entertaining way.) It really keeps your attention. WAY more than met expectations. (I do not like to see people harmed, but except in pure comedy this seems unavoidable in the action genre.) Worth way more than what I paid for it and I look forward to seeing it again.

BrillianceAugust 24, 2017Daughter of the KingBayport , NYAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I Loved the Historical drama and humor, context and plot. Also it illustrated just what is important to us now- was just as important in 1776. Life, Liberty, the Right to Bear Arms, Equality, Justice, Freedom of Religion, Redemption..And look at the "War"- attempts on (President) Washington- who was a loyal to the King - Ben Franklin- who thought he was the only one in 13 colonies, who cold not only create " bombs" but built his own generator to "charge" them. I especially liked the intelligence and " rebelliousness" of his character..Then there is the lovestory- with a Love so strong it is redeeming and transformational. I loved that it was Christian based and did not have to worry about " scenes" to ignore I wished it was longer! . If you loved Kara Killmer- you can see her weekly on "Chicago Fire". I highly recommend this movie.

Gregory MillerColumbus, OHAge: 35-44Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Unexpected Quality and Entertainment With Christ-Centered MessageJuly 29, 2016Gregory MillerColumbus, OHAge: 35-44Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We had a gathering of friends (about a dozen or so) and were going to watch something together for fun, to escape the hot and humid weather. But I lost the movie we had wanted to watch! So, this was our "back up" and, well, we didn't expect much. We've watched so-called "Christian movies" from time to time and most are not really all that impressive. But this time? BOY, were we pleasantly surprised.
I won't give a lengthy review and I don't want to exaggerate expectations. This wasn't a multi-million dollar budget movie. But John Rhys-Davies! What a talent... and he played the BAD guy very well. Andrew Cheney (as Will Reynolds) was great but Kara Killmer (as Charlotte Holloway) just "KILLED it". She was very impressive in her part and really made the film, in my opinion.
And to have the theme of redemption and the clarity of the unique and only way to forgiveness being through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, but not injected into the movie in a cheesy or unnatural/awkward way made this so incredibly enjoyable. Not one of our dozen friends were disappointed.
My only disappointment has been to find that there aren't more movies from these same producers on cbd.com! But that will hopefully change in the coming months.
