Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a former social worker and adjunct professor. I write and present monologues and other drama for churches, various community settings, and mission trips. I also write articles, devotions, and poetry for numerous publications. My work has been accepted by Lifeway, Standard Publishing, Cook Communications, The Upper Room, Reiman Publishing Group, Judson Press, Warner Press, and others. I have a master's degree in counseling, and belong to the American Christian Writers Association and the Kentucky State Poetry Society. I currently teach a middle school girls' Sunday school class and sing in the adult choir at my church. My husband and I serve as a friendship family for international university students.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wrote Beyond Bethlehem and Calvary to offer a drama collection suitable for performance in any size church or on the most rugged mission trip.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope people who buy Beyond Bethlehem and Calvary will find an easy-to-use resource that enables them to convey God's plan for our world so anyone anywhere can clearly understand it.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? These dramas offered me a fresh way to look at basic Bible truths.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My family, church, and friends around the world provide encouragement and support both for daily living and my writing endeavors.
