Beta DVD

Math-U-See is a comprehensive, skill-based math curriculum for grades K–12 that follows a multi-sensory, mastery approach. With a clear, logical sequence, it helps students understand math concepts. Each lesson includes step-by-step instruction, video teaching (DVD or online videos), and hands-on manipulatives to reinforce learning. Parents present new concepts and guide students through the “build-write-say” strategy for practice and review. The Math-U-See Beta DVD features 30 video lessons that build on Alpha's focus on mastery of single-digit addition & subtraction with a focus on addition & subtraction for multiple-digit numbers. This level also covers understanding and using place value, solving for an unknown addend, understanding US currency, comparing numbers and lengths, and more. In the video lessons, Demme helps parents understand how to teach each concept by using a whiteboard and larger magnetic versions of the blocks to show how to use them for each lesson.
