This oversize padded storybook is sure to become a lap time favorite for Berenstain fans, both young and old, as they read these stories in 5 minutes.
Stories included are:
The Berenstain Bears and the Forgiving Tree, The Berenstain Bears God Loves You, The Berenstain Bears Say Their Prayers, The Berenstain Bears Love Their Neighbors, The Berenstain Bears Faithful Friends, The Berenstain Bears Biggest Brag, The Berenstain Bears and the Gift of Courage, The Berenstain Bears Blessed are the Peacemakers, The Berenstain Bears Get Involved, The Berenstain Bears Gossip Gang, The Berenstain Bears God Bless Our Home, and The Berenstain Bears Heres the Church, Heres the Steeple.
Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005, and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from his studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.

I think they were all written by the Jan and Stan Berenstain, but I'm not sure. I've read some of these books before in the little booklets, but this is a handy collection for serious Berenstain Bears collectors or those that like to have big books so they can choose from one of twelve stories to read to their favorite child. It does make it heavy to hold the book, but I liked having a selection to read so I could pick whichever I was most in the mood for at the moment.
Recommended for fans of Berenstain Bears everywhere, for church and public libraries, home libraries, day cares, preschools, and more. I was provided a free copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
Rachel F.5 Stars Out Of 5Great Book for Young KidsJune 7, 2017Rachel F.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I don't know about you, but I grew up reading Berenstain Bears books and watching the cartoon. My son has a few of the books now so naturally I was drawn to this book. There are 12 stories included in this book and we literally love them all. The lessons in each story are easy for smaller kids to understand (my oldest is 6) and that is very important for these sorts of lessons in my opinion. The topics range from God's love, forgiving, courage, among others. The stories bring out typical situations in a child's life between family and friends so it is easy for a child to grasp the concepts trying to be relayed.
Written by the famous Stan and Jan Berenstain, these family classics are a great addition to any families book shelf. Learning how to be a faithful friend, forgiving others, and realizing God's love for each of us are important things to learn. This book has all of those in one beautiful, hard covered volume. It is bigger than I expected, measuring at 10.8 x 8 inches and has a nicely padded cover. I personally recommend this book for those who are teaching their children some good values.

reliWIAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A great collectionApril 25, 2017reliWIAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I may have mentioned my love of the Berenstain Bears a time or so on here when I've done reviews of their books. Their Living Lights Series is a Christian-based series that teaches godly principles. This book is a collection of 12 stories including:
The Berenstain Bears God Loves You! (in spite of who you are or what you do)
The Berenstain Bears Say Their Prayers (God hears our prayers and answers but not always how we think.)
The Berenstain Bears Love Their Neighbors (A bear version of the Good Samaritan)
And so on.
I do love the good principles that are taught throughout the book through forgiveness, not gossiping, etc. My only complaint is one little filler/swear word. I consider it a swear word yet, but in our day, I think it is so common that people don't even think of it as a swear word. I'm not saying that it makes it right or wrong, it's just a word I don't want my daughter learning to say.
I read bits and pieces of the book to my two-year-old, but mostly just read it to myself. She does like Berenstain Bears, but we were outside so her attention span wasn't as long as normal.
The illustrations are as good as always. The stories are divided into paragraphs with the pictures scattered throughout.
It's a lovely padded book perfect for gift giving. I wasn't that keen on reading that many stories to my daughter anyway because this book is going to get tucked away in the drawer for a future gift. It's too pretty not to give as a gift. It's a bigger book, more like an 8.5 x 11 size and then is 3/4 to an inch thick.
This book was given me by Book Look Bloggers. I was not required to write a positive review.
