All the feels. Not a catch phrase I've ever used with a book before, but I really enjoyed this novella, particularly when it made my heart lurch frequently when things got dangerous or intense between Marietta and Daniel. The jumps back and forth between the story and the dime novel about Dead-Eye Dan she was reading were fun as well.
Tea moment ch 6. page 57, "After that, he went in search of the tea box. Women liked tea. He was sniffing the different pouches, trying to decide which bag of dried leaves he should choose, when a creak from the staircase brought his head around."
Runaway Bride - A Kincaid Brides Series AND Trouble in Texas Series Novella by Mary Connealy
Wow! What a tale!
Wonderful, fast-paced tale of escape from a cruel father willing to marry his daughter off to settle his gambling debts, while training his son to be just like him. The 2 siblings sneak off in the dead of night only to run into a Texas Ranger sent to help them make their escape. Their escape quickly turns far more dangerous than they could possibly imagine, but along the way John & Carrie find themselves drawn to each other. Luckily Big John's friends have some ideas concerning Carrie's safety.
Her Dearly Unintended - an Ozark Mountain Romance Series Novella by Regina Jennings
Houston, TX March 1879
Josiah Huckabee and Katie Ellen Watson and a stranger name Silas are thrown together during a terrible storm which washes out the bridge leaving them all stranded at her family's cabin. They are hard-pressed to be a convincing married couple but they will have to put their differences aside in order to convince the man toting a gun under his coat.
Dangerous, heartfelt story. Great way to pass an afternoon.
Engaging the Competition - a Teaville Moral Society Series Novella by Melissa Jagears
Harrison Gray and Charlotte Andrews get caught in a storm. After he loses his glasses in her barn they find themselves stuck together in her root cellar. They both realize feelings they thought they had pushed aside years ago are bubbling to the surface. The storm subsides and they go looking for his glasses only to discover them crushed in his horse's stall. Charlie determines to become his assistant at the school where he teaches until new glasses can arrive which forces them to spend even more time together. But, she has committed herself to another in order to save her father's farm. Working through their issues is a nice little story of people coming together in God's perfect timing.

Gifted by a friend. My opinion is my own.

I'd not read any of Karen Witemeyer's stories until I picked up this novella collection. And what a hilarious introduction! It was a quick read and I enjoyed the Dead Eye Dan 'excerpts' at the beginning of each chapter.
Her Deadly Unintended by Regina Jennings
Aahh, Regina Jennings. She's been a favorite of mine for several years and this novella was no exception. Laugh-out-loud funny, with a dash of danger, and wrapped in a coming-of-age romance that is delight to read.
Runaway Bride by Mary Connealy
Mary Connealy is another favorite author. There is something that I just love about her westerns with her trademark mix of romance, humor, and blazing guns. This novella provided all of that in a small, but very enjoyable, package.
Engaging The Competition by Melissa Jagears
Melissa Jagears is still a fairly new-to-me author since I've only previously read one of her full-length books. This novella was a real, but fun, switch for me because I actually came to like the hero a little bit better than the heroine.
A delightful collection of novellas from four wonderful authors! If you enjoy any or all of these authors, like novellas, or just love a good story with plenty of humor and romance With This Ring just might be to book for you.
(I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

I don't read a lot of fiction, but once in a while I do like to "escape" into another world for a time. This book of novellas was great for that. The stories are not too long, yet long enough to take up a few hours of relaxation when needed. I have passed it on to a friend who will probably put it in the church library after she is finished with it.

Very enjoyable.
