rkfall5 Stars Out Of 5The Beloved Christmas QuiltFebruary 24, 2018rkfallQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Beloved Christmas Quilt by Wanda Brunstetter is a wonderful Christmas book that includes 3 stories. It is a series of stories that follow a special quilt that is being handed down from generation to generation. In keeping with a traditional Brunstetter book, all of them have a sweet element of Amish romance. In them, I saw a picture of new love, giving not selfishly but with others in mind, and sometimes what you think is the answer is not the answer at all.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

hplady5 Stars Out Of 5Enchanting TrilogyNovember 30, 2017hpladyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Beloved Christmas Quilt: Three Stories of Family, Romance, and Amish Faith
by Wanda E. Brunstetter, Jean Brunstetter, and Richelle Brunstetter
In this trilogy of stories by three generations of Brunstetter women, a quilt is passed from mother to daughter. This quilt has a scripture embroidered on it: For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. Psalm 31:3. Each of the women attempt to use that scripture in their daily lives and as they make choices that affect their homes and families.
In the first story, Luella's Promise, Luella has been a caregiver for a woman who is dying. In addition to caring for Dena, Luella has also been helping Dena's husband and young son. When Dena passes the quilt mentioned above on to Luella, she is touched and promises to continue to care for them as long as she is able. When Dena passes, Luella does her best to keep her promise. As she helps them, she finds herself thinking longingly of a family of her own. Will she find one or does she already have one? Follow Luella as she follows her heart and discovers the promise God has for her.
In the second story, Karen's Gift, Luella's child, Karen, now all grown up and with a family of her own, discovers that life is not always easy. When her youngest child is born with a disability, Karen and her husband start to pull apart. Karen also misses her family terribly, having moved away when she got married. Her husband, Seth, is having a hard time adjusting to the problems with their youngest child and he is also struggling at work with some issues. Can they cling to each other and find God's solution to their issues or will they crumble under the pressure?
In the final story, Roseanna's Groom, Karen's oldest child is ready for her wedding day when the unthinkable happens. Her groom runs out on her. Devastated and unsure how to move on, Roseanna struggles to find hope. She continues to sew dresses for people and help her family, but her heart isn't in it. When she runs into an old friend, can she put aside her fears and begin again? Or will her heart always belong to her runaway groom?
I really enjoyed these stories. It was the first by the Brunstetter women that I have read and I will definitely be checking out more! The stories were uplifting and heartening. If you enjoy romance and learning more about God's promises for you, then you will enjoy this book!

joyful334209FLAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5GOD is BelovedNovember 14, 2017joyful334209FLAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The beloved Christmas is the heart touching story. Right from the beginning of this book let's say a lasso is wrapped around your heart and pulled into the story and it won't let you go until the story ends I cried and rarely cry for a book, but this book is touching so very touching. You have Luella who was very close and took care of Dena and also Attee while Dina was very sick and dying Dina gave Luella her quilt, and she treasured it. Luella really took good care of both of them and continued after Dina passed onto Glory. Luella helped Attee and started to get feelings for him and will he eventually see her past his mourning?
In the second story, it is a story of fear. Will Karen be able to handle the stress of being a mother of three? It is a story of a fear of being the failure of being a good mother to her children. With GODs help she can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens her .
the third book is incredible, Roseanne's confused about old feelings she has for an old beau But guess when it happens on a very serious time but you have to read the book to find out , and you have to find out who she chooses .
