As believers, we have all learned to pray. Typically, our prayers consist of structured wish lists for God which line up with our own plans and solutions. We go to Him with problems, but also with our desired outcomes in mind. Then we evaluate God's responses according to what happens with our requests. If our request was fulfilled, God said yes, and if not, God said no, or perhaps wait. But this is not what prayer was ever supposed to be! So, then, what should prayer look like? How do we pray?

Before He left His disciples, Jesus taught them how to pray. Prayer ought to be living life with Christ, just as the disciples did while He was with them. This means constant dialogue, in which we ask Him our questions and seek His answers. Prayer is not a list, but is rather a conversation in which you discuss the things on your heart and mind with God and through which He also expresses the things which are on His heart. This course will dissect what this dialogue really looks like and what our role is in the process. We will discover the difference between telling God what we want Him to do and learning to hear His voice. Our discussions on the beauty of believing prayer will open up a whole new perspective for you as you learn to truly walk with God, step by step!
