joanna5 Stars Out Of 5Book Review: Believe Kids' Edition by Randy FrazeeAugust 28, 2015joannaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Believe Kids' Edition by Randy Frazee is a devotional that explains how the Bible is not just stories but that the Bible is to be used as a "blueprint for living" Believe Kids' Edition by Randy Frazee contains 30 devotions divided into three sections: Think, Act and Be. These three sections answer the questions: What do I believe?, What should I do? and Who am I becoming? I like the New International Reader's Version because its not a paraphrased story, it is actual scripture. I like the uniform layout of each devotion. Each devotion has five sections. The Keys section which focuses on the key question, the key idea and the key verse. Think About It section talks about the belief that is being discussed and its importance. Introduction section sets up the Scripture guiding the reader. Core Truths section is in blue text focusing on the Scripture and why that particular Scripture was chosen to answer the question asked. Discussion Question section is at the end of each devotion to help kids dive more into the Scripture and how the Bible impacts out lives. The cover is beautiful and immediately draws the reader in to learn about Jesus. The font and illustrations are simple and easy on the reader's eyes. As I read Believe Kids' Edition by Randy Frazee I was personally drawn to read it to my own children and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a family devotional that is strongly grounded on Biblical truth.

Believe Kids Edition
Think, Act, Be Like Jesus
I so love the cover to this beautiful book. The picture of Jesus holding out his hand to help you while standing on water is so like Jesus saying I am always here to help you no matter what turbulence you find yourself facing. As I always say most of the covers tell me a story all themselves before I even open the cover to read.
In this beautiful book there are 3 Keys:
1 KEY QUESTION: The key question is the starting place; this is what the chapter will help the reader think about.
2 KEY IDEA: Encourage your child to memorize the key ideas so they can recite what they believe.
3 KEY VERSE: Gods word hidden in young hearts will stick for a life time.
Think About IT: Why this belief is so important.
I find this book is a great book not only for the kids but for a new person starting to learn of Jesus and the Bible also us old folks can learn from this beautifully written book to help us learn in a new way then what we knew of the old ways. The older people will understand what I mean if they were in a church that taught Hell and Damnation more than learning the love Jesus had for us. What a wonderful book this is. The King James is a wonderful bible but a hard one to read (or I felt it is).
This book lets you know the answers to all your questions for your life. It is right here in the bible all you have to do is read the Bible. God wants you to know him and will direct you. This is a very interesting book, very helpful.
I really enjoyed this book and will have it on my desk to grab when I need to refresh my memory. I recommend this book highly.
I received this beautiful book free from Booklook blogger for an honest review I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one elses.

Fitzysmom5 Stars Out Of 5Review from Rambles of a SAHMJuly 25, 2015FitzysmomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In the Preface of the book Randy Frazee begins by telling the story of King Josiah. You'll remember that he was eight years old when he became king. 2 Kings 23:25 says: "There was no king like Josiah either before him or after him. None of them turned to the LORD as he did. He obeyed the LORD with all his heart and all his soul. He obeyed Him with all his strength."
How did Josiah become such a king? It was because he was read the Word of God and he followed it. Isn't that what we want for each of our children, to become well versed in Scripture and to follow the precepts it contains? Believe: Kids' Edition is the perfect start for that lifelong journey.
The book breaks the process down into three sections, THINK: What Do I Believe?, ACT: What Should I Do?, and BE: Who Am I Becoming? Each of these sections use the NIrV edition of the Bible which is designed for a third grade reading level. There are thirty chapters that also correspond with the adult and student editions of this book making it a great tool for weeks of family devotions.
I was very pleased with this simplified version of Believe. I say simplified meaning vocabulary not content. Randy Frazee has been thorough in his covering of the main concepts of Scripture. The discussion questions are a nice touch to make it interactive rather than just a one way teaching from parent to child. Our family was blessed by this resource and I think yours will be too.
