It can be read on it's own, or accompanied with other books in the Believe series by Randy Frazee. A few months ago, I wrote a review for Randy Frazee's Believe Storybook, which is a wonderful companion book. There are some of the same illustrations in both books. In THINK, ACT, BE LIKE JESUS, each devotion opens with scripture, tells what, where and why something related to the verse happened. It includes an application and then closes with a prayer.
Each devotion takes only a short time to read, so it is a quick and perfect way for children to be in the Word. We used ours for our evening devotions when it was the youngest childs turn to read "Bible Study." It is important for children to know Bible stories, and Mr. Frazee does a great job explaining the stories.
I highly recommend this book for Sunday School teachers, churches, and family Bible time. It would also make a good Christmas present or stocking stuffer!

Think, Act, Be Like Jesus is a 90 day devotional for kids, written by Randy Frazee and illustrated by Steve Adams. It includes 3 different sections as the title says there is a set of devotions for thinking, acting and being like Jesus. Each devotion has a topic, a bible verse, an explanation or discussion and a prayer. Recommended for grades 4-8 this book is a great devotional to get your child into the word, reflecting on their thoughts and actions.
Linda M Hunt, Kimberley BC Canada5 Stars Out Of 5Think, Act, Be like Jesus, 90 devotionals by Randy FrazeeJanuary 23, 2016Linda M Hunt, Kimberley BC CanadaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I just used the first Devotional tonight at bedtime for my 3 girls ages 6,7 & 10. It was compliment of reassurance to the Sunday school lesson I taught our class last Sunday on God holds everything up with His hands including the universe, the stars, the sun, the moon and He was also big enough to role away the stone from in front of the tomb. The devotional was how the whole universe expresses the glory of God from it's vastness to it's precision in everything He made & He holds it all in His hands. The girls were amazed at how big His hands must be and how intricate He makes every detail of our bodies with every fingerprint different from their sisters and how every snowflake in our yard is so different and microscopic and that we are just like a grain of sand on the seashore compared to the world in the universe. They were in awe as to what a magnificent creator He is. I told them that we are made in His own image so He wants us to be creative with our hand as well, even though we can't make the sun & moon & stars like He did because we are not God. This lead us into a bedtime prayer of praise & thanksgiving to our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ for all that He has given us.

I loved reading in this devotional for its impact on both children and the adults who may engage in reading it to the younger ones who are old enough to understand but just are not ready to read it for themselves. The illustrations in the book so well match up with thoughts and prayers. The pictures, theme titles, scripture verses, devotional writings, and prayers are engaging but never overdone or exaggerated. Truth shines through. As a former homeschooling mom, this is one book I would have used to start the days off right with thought on Jesus. This would work well in Christian private schools, and also in children's Sunday school classrooms to engage those who arrive early. I highly recommend that church media centers get a copy of this for the children's library section.
I received this copy from a review blogger's contest. I have given my honest opinion of this book
