I got this for someone getting engaged. I read it beforehand in a very short amount of time. It was very good, but I thought it would be better in presenting ways to actually lead spiritually. Still, I think it was helpful, particularly showing how frustrating it can be for women when a man doesn't lead. The recipient read and appreciated it even though it was written for married men, using it for a Bible study together. He said it was helpful now and he would re-read the book in years ahead.

The eight lessons have great points and one can gather some good information from this book. That being said, the questions are often vague and ask readers to draw their own interpretations from scripture. Additionally, all the lessons deal with what men should do, and rarely address the "how" or the challenges that men face in trying to live a Christ-like life. This book would be best in a small group with a seasoned pastor or elder to avoid misinterpretations of God's word and frustration due to impossibly high standards.
