Product Description

Eschatology is one of the deepest theological topics, and many still find parallels with other parts of scripture. Roger Snow has found the book of Exodus to be a model for what was written by John in the book of Revelation, and offers fifty items that have uncanny corollaries in the two books. Manna, the dragon, two witnesses, the Angel of the Lord, and God's "I Am" self-designation are just a few of the analogs between the two parts of scripture. Whether you are in agreement with more popular versions of end-times theology or are trying to find another version that makes biblical sense, 'Fifty Ways to Leave Left Behind' will give you information to think about.

Publisher's Description

"???To say that Jesus is ruler now is a statement that reaches almost blasphemous proportions???" Tim Lahaye???21st Century, The End Times Controversy ***** "From Jesus???the ruler of the kings of the earth???" John the Apostle???1st Century, Revelation 1: 5*****Who is right? Which is fact and which is fiction? What if we had a pattern to clear away the confusion? Roger Snow has shown us such a pattern in Fifty Ways to Leave Left Behind. Exodus and Revelation both begin with tribulation and end in wedding vows. In both books a dragon waits to eat the Messiah child. In both books a woman flies away on eagles' wings to live in a new promised land. These parallels are easy, but what if there were many more? What if there were as many as fifty more? What if reading this book turned your end times ideas upside down? Would you read this book?

I've questioned the "left behind" position for a long time, but this book helped to push me over the edge. It is an eye-opening comparison of Exodus and Revelation. Some things are obvious such as comparing "The Lamb that was slain" in Revelation, to the Passover Lamb in Exodus, but there are other things that aren't quite so obvious, like the comparison between all of the plagues in Exodus with the seals, trumpets, and bowls in Revelation. There are at least fifty such comparisons! The most important thing, I think, is how the author makes it a point to show that Exodus is an Old Testament picture of Revelation. It is God's rescue of His people in dramatic fashion. Especially helpful to me was the question and answer section at the end of the book. As you read the book, you will definitely have some questions that you want the author to answer and I believe he does a good job answering those questions. If you have ever questioned the "left-behind" end times position, which I'm sure many of you have, then you need to read this book. If you haven't ever questioned, then you still need to read this book. I believe it can turn your viewpoint upside-down using a completely biblical approach.
