For a psychological fiction novel as pure escapism from reality, this one is a good choice .'
Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Original and Captivating!February 19, 2017Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"Two souls bound and none can sever. This night song is for you."
Shortly after singing those words to the love of his life, Liam Connolly's life was incinerated by an horrific car bomb. Devastated beyond belief is his wife, Alanna, whose Celtic band has just begun to emerge on the national scene, booking tours weeks upon weeks in advance. Travelling back to Ireland with Liam's body is excruciating enough, but Liam's family delivers an unexpected ultimatum; live there with them in Ireland and give up her music, or have her unborn child removed from her custody.
Desperate people do desperate things and Alanna hurriedly accepts a proposal of marriage from their band manager, Barry Kavanagh, who whose legal expertise is invaluable as he promises to make sure that Alanna can maintain parental rights to Liam's son. But nothing about Barry or his family makes sense; Alanna feels isolated in the deteriorated coastal mansion where he decides they will live, and unexplainable accidents seem to plague her on a regular basis. Weirder still, is that Liam's friend Jesse who survived the bomb, but has very limited memory, seems to have morphed into someone they barely know, or do they?
"Though death will try to break our hearts . . . . . . . This night song is for you."
Captivating from the very beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed this story, having received a copy of the book from the publisher; the opinions about which, I have stated above, are entirely my own.
LucyWVAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Edge Of Your Seat SuspenseFebruary 16, 2017LucyWVAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Colleen Coble is a stellar author of suspense and she doesn't disappoint in this one. I couldn't put it down because of the need to find out what else can happen to Alanna. She acts out of desperation when she makes bad choices due to trying to protect her unborn child. Never a dull moment in this book as it moves quickly. I liked that it wasn't an ordinary read, but still contained some prayer and Jesse searching for the Faith that Liam had.
I received a complimentary copy from Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Guild. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
Tammy G.East TexasAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Interesting Story!February 14, 2017Tammy G.East TexasAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Anytime Colleen Coble writes a new story I grab it. She is one of my to.go.authors.
As I began reading Because You're Mine I was immediately immersed in the story of Alanna and her unborn child.
Alanna has not had the best of luck. So, when her husband is killed by a car bomb while their band is on tour.... it seems that her life will not get better. Poor Alanna! It seems that life goes from bad to worse. But there is always hope and Alanna holds on to life and hope for herself and her unborn child. An interesting part of this story for me was the strong bond that a mother has for her child even her unborn child. And all that she will do to protect her child.
There are twist and turns in this spellbinding read!
Of course, there are a couple of characters in this read that seem all to real and not likable at all. But in true "Colleen Coble fashion" the twists come when the reader least expects them.
This is one of those reads that the mystery/suspense reader will not want to miss!

Stephie4 Stars Out Of 5Great suspenseful book!February 9, 2017StephieQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I have enjoyed all of Colleen Coble's book. This by far was my favorite of hers. The book had my interest from the first pages. I love the suspense in the book with some romance too. I love how the author kept me guessing with the plot twists. joyful334209FLAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5You're GOD'sFebruary 9, 2017joyful334209FLAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Exciting, romantic, mysterious suspenseful, and targeted - that is what this book is. How is it exciting - well you have someone who is trying to steal someone's baby who isn't even born yet-and this person has power, and prestige and gets whatever he wants. Romantic - well what kind of Colleen Coble book would it be without romance in the middle of a mystery. Suspenseful - Alanna when her lifeline is broken and she runs to America to save herself and her unborn baby from the in-laws - she is thrown a lifeline by GOD - through prayer that is how she is targeted - GOD targets her by answering her prayers. This book makes you feel so many feelings - especially anger at a certain person and I wont ruin the book for you by telling you all of it - but she loves her husband and something happens so she has to run to America to save her baby and then the terror starts - but yet then the love begins - you just have to read it - it is addicting and it touches places in your heart you don't normally feel in a book - this is a great book. I received a copy of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
