Tell us a little about yourself. Im a Christian author and stay-at-home mom from the Midwest. My husband and I have been married for seven years and have two wonderful boys, ages one and four. The kids keep me pretty busy but when I have time, I enjoy writing Christian romance. My version of a Christian romance is sweet and suspenseful with a little touch of comedy and faith weaved in. Other then romance, I enjoy writing encouraging blogs and devotions. I'm currently working on the second installment of the Riley Family Legacy Novellas, called Beauty Unveiled and my first full length Novel, Enduring the Flames.
What was your motivation behind this project? This book was inspired by 1 Peter 3:4, which says that beauty comes from a quiet and gentle spirit. I wanted this book to focus on the true God given beauty that comes from within. In today's world, so much emphasis is placed on outer beauty but God focuses on the heart. That is where true beauty lies.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I believe Katherine and Ryan's story is one that readers will be able to relate to. Some of the main themes are family, healing and forgiveness. Katherine's character is close to my heart because of how she reacts after tragedy strikes her family. Her heart is broken after her husbands death but she knows that she must stay strong for her kids. Ryan has also had a difficult past and is faced with guilt over his brothers accident. Throughout the story, both characters learn about the true power of healing and forgiveness that only God can provide. I hope that readers will be encouraged by their story of love and faith.
