Erin5 Stars Out Of 5Beautiful UncertaintyMarch 11, 2016ErinQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I loved it just like Mandy's other books. I feel in some parts she was sharing my life and I love how that gives me a sense of connection with her. My prayer for Mandy is that above all she would seek God's face and pursue His plan for her life. There is no more amazing thing we can do then be all about our Father's business.

Have you put your life on hold until you encounter "the one," and get married? Well, meet Mandy Hale, she has been where you are, and has the stories to prove it.
Mandy is a very transparent author who writes about life as a single woman. She shares her dreams, hopes, dramas and disappointments. She talks about the heartache of devoting years of her life to a man, whom she refers to as Mr. E, with whom she had an on-again-off-again relationship. It many ways it was more like a cat playing with a mouse.
From the first page in this volume, you will feel like you have grabbed Mandy's hand, and become her friend and confidant. This book is about finding herself, making new memories, taking a different direction in life, and being okay with that. She is very open about her successes and failures. Included is her quest to get closer to God. When working towards that goal, she shares the story of the time she bought, and ate lunch with, The Lord of the Universe. Experience with her the joy she had in another instance when she bought a simple meal for a homeless man.
Her advice is to concentrate on listening, and building a relationship with, God. That will get you through all the times of your life--both the good and the bad. Doing that will give you your ultimate happiness. God will direct your path, whether that be to continue as a single person, or be in a relationship. Either way, you will have peace--that peace that Jesus promises His followers. These things have worked for Mandy, and they will work for you, too.
I liked this book, and think it will provide a lot of hope for those who are in despair about the state of their love life. This easy-to-read book offers things to think about, as well as, some prayer suggestions. Mandy has made a name for herself on social media with her many Twitter account followers, and her popular blog, The Single Woman, where she chronicles her life. This 5-star book offers more in-depth information about her life, the state of her happiness, and how she got there. I recommend it to anyone who is dissatisfied with their life as a single person, and would like some uplifting advice.

I don't know if it was the style of Mandy's writing or her transparency, but all of it hit home and connected with me. I try to stay away from books and articles that give cliched Christian advice on how to deal with singleness, but Beautiful Uncertainty wasn't cliche, it was honest and I deeply admire Mandy for it.
2 years, 1 month, and 25 days
This is how long I've been single. I needed this book to remind me God's plan regarding my singleness is greater than my own understanding and importantly, life still goes on.
Beautiful Uncertainty won't resonate with everyone, but it will to those who at times struggle with their singleness. I found myself nodding in agreement with Mandy throughout this book, laughing along with her, and found we're similar in a lot of ways. I think this is why I enjoyed this book so much; I saw a bit of myself in her and could have easily written this book myself.
If you're single, give this book a read. You'll either love it, hate it, or learn to appreciate it. Either way, it's worth a read.
