This is an excellent book for someone who wants to get an overview of the four most common doctrines of eschatology. Erickson lays out a clear description of each, then summarizes with the strengths and weaknesses of each position. Although he admits to favoring the historic premillennial position, he is very unbiased in his presentation of the other views - postmillennialism, amillennialism, and dispensational premillennialism.
