Excellent review material for the established Christian and a "must-read" for the new Christian along with Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Well-written and give yourself a little time with the book before giving up on it. My first experience with Stott's books - will undoubtedly read more of his material. No nonsense, no compromise writing - would remind you of Tozer's material which is on a deeper level than this book.
Some books are tethered to a particular time and age and are very helpful and useful at the time. But, the Lord, every so often, uses someone that seemingly transcends the time and helps us see the timeless. Stott's "Basic Christianity" is one of those books.
