I got this book, because from the cover I thought it was a children's book. It's not.

This book is a retelling of the Christmas Scrooge story wherein the main character is a woman instead of a man, a love story for adults with the typical love story story line with a few differences discussed below.

The main differences are the two main characters are eligible to be married, and there is a strong faith element in the story. This story reminds me a lot of Grace Livingston Hill's books I read when I was a teen.

The story is well-written, and a great twist on a classic story.

I did not rate it higher because: 1) I thought it was a children's book by the cover. 2) I do not read romance novels any longer. So, don't be put off by the "would you recommend this product to a friend" if you understand those caveats.

However, If you like these types of stories, you will like this book.
