Product Description

In this humorous twist on the biblical story of the prodigal son, all Alza Reese Bennett wants is to get home to her estranged family for the Easter holiday, but an auto mishap leaves the high-strung executive more than 700 miles short of her destination and standing on the doorstep of a grizzled, reclusive farmer named Lincoln. The mismatched pair strike a deal and set out on a three-day odyssey of misadventure. Along the highways and byways of America, they encounter rat-infested hotels, convenience store hold-ups, rural rabbit stalkers, and a star-struck couple from a local trailer park. Best of all, they are forced to encounter each other as the two worlds of the princess and hermit collide at every turn. Dove approved. Approx. 98 Minutes.

Lots of people criticized this movie's speed. It was slow moving at times but so am I. Our culture is so used to fast action videos, playstations, computer games etc that they find it hard to just sit and relax. I thoroughly enjoyed the interplay between the 2 completely opposite characters. I laughed a lot throughout it. A bit slow...maybe...but for was just fine. Great character studies. I really liked it. My husband...not so much.

This movie is slow and drags on, with very little to say. A few funny scenes, tho, and a nice finish.

From the reviews and the previews I expected A LOT more. It was slow moving and the important parts of the theme lacked development. The first hour could of easily been done in 15 minutes and spent more time on important stuff. In the Christian realm we need to aspire to a high quality. Very disappointing and we'd be hard pressed to watch a movie with the two actors again.

This is a GREAT movie, excellent acting, excellent story, and whew... what a relief from some of the"tv" movies.

This was a cute storyline, I noticed my husband wiped a tear or two away. We have been married going on three decades, and this was a "date" movie for us. Thank you for this well acted movie.

A truely awesome movie in my eyes. The story line was very good. It shows two totally different people, of age, race, and background , draw close to each other. Shows how a man, due to circumstances, wishes to live out his life as a hermit. The young woman is guilt ridden with her life and her fake life she portrays to her parents.

As part of her guilt, she must get home for Christmas, and be part of her families activities. The guy finally agrees to drive her home, if only to stop her pestering him, and asking questions about himself.

During the trip, and many humorous adventures, they draw closer, They, both come to terms with their problems, and in doing so, develope a wonderful bond.
