Product Description

Memorization is always easier with music! Discover how music can positively impact the retention of knowledge with catchy, educational tunes from Audio Memory.

Multiplication Songs teaches kids multiplication facts from 2x2 to 12x12. Each song is repeated with a pause during which students may answer the question themselves; a sing-along test is given after each song. The accompanying workbook gives students opportunities to practice writing and solving the drills they're learning from the CD. It includes all facts, one column with answers and a second column without answers, as well as practice drills.

Ideally, students listen and learn the facts with the music, then sing along while pointing to the facts with answers; they can then take the audio test and say the answer, first looking at the written answers and afterwards without the written answers. Finally, they write in their own answers and progress to the next set of facts.

22 Tracks (including tests) on CD. Pages are reproducible for student use only. 13 pages, magazine-style binding. Grades 3 & up.

This kit includes:

  • Multiplication Audio CD
  • Multiplication Workbook

Homeschool Specialists' Review

Early elementary school is the best time to introduce facts that will become the foundation of future learning, because, until about fourth grade, kids have an amazing capacity for memorization! Early instruction filled with numbers, times tables, spelling words, letters, and sounds stays with them throughout their schooling.

Using music as a tool to memory learning is both easy and fun. Somehow putting information to quirky tunes really helps with recall. I used Grammar Songs with my kids to study parts of speech and punctuation rules. There are activities and exercises throughout the book to reinforce the concepts in each song.

From this same series, we used Geography Songs for continents, oceans, and countries, as well as the solar system. We had a blast learning about Africa, the most challenging continent, with 57 countries in one song! States and Capitals Songs covered all 50 states and their capitals.

The songs themselves won't win any music awards, but when information is put to music, the process of memorization becomes much easier. Vast amounts of knowledge can be accessed by recalling the tune to a song. My children still remember some of the songs we learned, and they are adults now!

Tip: We used the CD's in the car to make better use of our driving time.

Kit includes audio CD with 16 songs, 68-page student workbook featuring song lyrics and written exercises, teacher's guide with activity suggestions, and answer key.

Catchy, simple rhythm. My son is having trouble memorizing the multiplication facts in a more traditional way such as with flashcards, etc. He has a very easy time memorizing lyrics to songs. I think this is proving to be a good method for him.

This CD is a fun, painless way to memorize without actually sitting down to drill and drill. It is fun for the child, and a pleasure for the parent/teacher.
