He is the author of multiple devotions with stories about Christian athletes, including Dugout Devotions and Dugout Devotions II, First-Down Devotions and First-Down Devotions II, Sports Shorts: 52 Stories of Faith from All-Star Believers, and Buckeye Believer: 40 Days of Devotions for the Ohio State Faithful. He received the Outstanding Author award at the 2017 Ohio Christian Writers Conference as well as two more first-place awards. Del also covers the Cincinnati Bengals for the Portsmouth Daily Times.
His articles have been published in Clubhouse Magazine, Sports Spectrum, Bridges, and PM Magazine. Del and his wife, Angie, have two adult sons and three grandchildren, and they attend Rubyville Community Church.
