The Attack Math series from Educators Publishing Service teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication and division through three books (each sold-separately). Book 1 teaches basic facts and asks students to draw pictures to find answers and solve application-story problems. Books 2 and 3 teach multi-digit computation with whole numbers, using a flagpole to feature the sequence of steps to be followed for each new procedure. All books in the series contain practice pages and application-story problems along with a Checkpoint and Testpoint to monitor progress at the middle and end of each book.
Attack Math, Multiplication 1: Basic Facts begins with a model for multiplication. Students identify number of groups, number in each group, and number in all. They write multiplication sentences and make drawings to find answers. The terms "factors" and "products" are introduced, and used in generalizations about commutativity and zero and 1 as factors.
48 non-reproducible pages, softcover; consumable workbook. Grades 1-6.
