This is the first & only book (so far) I've read by this author. She does an excellent job with character development. With too many authors I speed read through sections as they take forever to make their point, but I couldn't even skip one sentence with this book. I loved every line. The characters are real, flawed....human. Once I got to the middle of this story, I could not put it down. It hooked me & drew me in until the story was complete. I can't wait to read this author's others books & I am hoping they are as good.
This was my first book by Linda Nichols and I enjoyed the depth of character development with each individual. The lives of all were affected directly by each other and this was quite obvious throughout. The only criticism I have is that its a very sad book. For that reason, I couldn't pick it up as quickly as some others.
I love this book, you really get to know the folks and their families. I am almost finished and hoping the author will write another story with Annie and Sam. This story shows how God is working in our lives, even if it doesn't seem that way to us. You will like this book.
